Under the Ulaanbaatar Green Affordable Housing and Resilient Urban Renewal Sector Project (AHURP), the consultation workshop on "Policy Reform, Green Housing Building Codes, Translation of the EDGE User Guide, and Draft Material Standards" was successfully organized on June 5, 2026.
The event brought together a total of 76 representatives from relevant ministries, municipal authorities, implementing agencies, professional associations, engineers, architects, research institutions, and international financial institutions to exchange views on green building policies, standards, and the reform of norms and regulations.
During the workshop, presentations were delivered on green housing planning, the translated EDGE User Guide, and draft construction material standards, followed by high-level professional discussions and recommendations for future implementation.
The meeting was attended by key dignitaries, including Raushan Mamatkulov, Principal Urban Development Specialist at the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Mongolia Resident Mission; B. Baatarzorig, Project Coordinator of the Integrated Project Implementation (IPIU) of Ulaanbaatar City; B. Khishigtogtokh, Deputy Project Coordinator; J. Batbold, Head of the Urban Planning and Settlement Development Department at the Construction Development Center (CDC); D. Altankhuyag, Head of the Norms and Regulations Department; and other relevant specialists.
